 ===== Location ===== ===== Location =====

-We have historically been located at the intersection of Mercurial and Verdant, approximately in the middle of the event. Placement for 2015 will be across the path where Video Bleep used to camp. We'll have more quiet space for tents, and more flat space for dancing!+Check out the [[https://www.fireflyartscollective.org/getting-ready/map/|map]] for an idea of placement.

 +We have historically been located just up the hill from the intersection of Mercurial and Verdant (Ranger HQ & first aid), approximately in the middle of the event. Placement for 2019 will be across the path from where Love and Lion's Den was last year. We have relatively quiet space for tents, and flat space for people in our cafe to snuggle and chill.
 +
 +As you can also see on the map, we are rather far from both sets of porto pottiesIt is about a 10 minute walk to get to either set of them. Make sure you bring everything with you that you need, or you will be sad that you have to walk all the way back to camp.
 +
 +Some camp members place their personal campsites elsewhere to be out of the main (loud) part of Firefly. If you wish to do the same, camp members can provide recommmendations on good spots (generally, the newer paths at the top of the hill are quieter)

 We will have a communal camp kitchen with stoves, prep space, food storage, and a washing station. Please bring your own eating dishes and utensils. Check the spreadsheet to see if we are in need of shared kitchen items (cooking dishes, etc) in case you have some that you can bring. We will have a communal camp kitchen with stoves, prep space, food storage, and a washing station. -===== Music =====
-
-We have a sound system that we generally operate between late morning (11-12) and night. We reduce the volume at about 1am and usually turn it off entirely at around 2am. We generally do not play loud dancy music (there are plenty of other camps that do, so don't worry about getting your fix!) but other than that, anything goes (we have even had live performances on occasion!). If you are interested in DJing or performing, please sign up on the spreadsheet!

-===== Radios =====
-
-If you'd like to bring a radio, we will probably be using MURS channel 4 (<font 14px line-height: 22.3999996185303px; background-color: rgb(249, 249, 249);/sans-serif;;inherit;;rgb(0, 0, 0) font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.3999996185303px; background-color: rgb(249, 249, 249);>154.570 MHz) for camp communications. Radios will be handy for load-in and load-out, but probably will not be used much in the main portion of the event. Please let Jon know if you can bring a radio. He can program your Baofeng radio for you if you would like.</font>
