- | Gnome duty takes its name from the Firefly Gnome core, which is a volunteer group that helps to fill in the cracks of the rest of the volunteer organization. Camp Gnome is a role that one person takes on for a day, and means that person is on standby to fill in for another person if that person can't make a shift for some reason. Gnomes should check in at camp about 10 minutes after the start of each shift to see if the other volunteers are on duty, and fill in if needed (ideally also trying to get the original person to jump in and complete the shift if possible). | ||
